About

There are too many people in this world that think that happiness is a state of being and not an emotion. They have an "all or nothing" view of what it means to be happy and do everything in their power to create that happiness, even if it means pretending that everything is okay when it's not.

Society has placed a stigma on sadness and depression that is perpetuating the idea that someone who isn't always happy is weak-willed or inherently broken. I'm here to challenge that stigma by telling you my story, whether it's a happy story or a sad one, because life consists of both.

My life is far from perfect and a lot of the time, I'm far from happy. But, over the last few years, I've come to realize that life isn't about being happy all the time. It's about taking the good, the bad and everything in between. It's about asking for help when you need it and admitting you're wrong when you make a mistake. It's about being lonely and being okay with it because you know that you're not the only one.

My life is never going to be perfect. But, yeah, I'm "happy."
